Mastering Self-Compassion: Your Secret Superpower for Work-Life Balance

Let's face it, the professional world can often feel like a pressure cooker. We juggle deadlines and strive for that ever-elusive 'work-life balance' (whatever that means). In this relentless pursuit of perfection, it's easy to overlook someone crucial: Yourself. While you shower your colleagues and friends with praise, self-compassion often takes a backseat, much like that gym membership we never use—good intentions, underwhelming results. Being kind to yourself isn't a weakness; it's a superpower. Think about it. Would you ever dream of telling your best friend they're a failure for making a mistake? Absolutely not! So why subject yourself to such negativity? That nagging inner voice whispering 'You messed up again'? Mute it. Easy tips I follow to be my cheerleader: • Ditch the Negative Self-Talk: Replace 'I should have...' with 'I'll learn from this and do better next time.' Positive affirmations are a new mantra! • Celebrate the Small Wins: High-five yourself! Every accomplishment, big or small, deserves recognition. • Help Others, Help Yourself: Volunteering or mentoring boosts confidence and well-being. • Schedule 'Me' Time: Take breaks, a refreshed you is a more productive you! • Embrace Your Imperfections: We all make mistakes; it's part of being human. Learn from them, move on, and resist the urge to beat yourself up. • Gratitude is a Superpower: Focus on the good stuff in life, big or small. Sunshine? Awesome! Remembered to brush your teeth? High five! Being kind to yourself isn't just about spa days or club-hopping (although those are awesome too). It's about how you talk to yourself, handle mistakes (because let's be honest, everyone makes them!), and navigate life's inevitable bumps in the road. By silencing the inner critic and embracing self-compassion, you will be well on your way to a happier, healthier you, and rocking that BFF status with yourself.

Freedom on Two Wheels: Breakfast Ride to Siddipet

Nothing compares to the calm I feel when I’m on a motorcycle. With the wind in my hair and the world fading away, it’s like floating in a peaceful bubble. All my worries, both good and bad, just melt away. What’s left is the open road, the cool breeze, and the gentle rustle of the trees. Riding gives me a magical sense of freedom, like I’m in control of my own journey.Last weekend was a blast with an amazing group of riders @royal_wanderlust_ ! We took a short but thrilling breakfast ride to Siddipet, and every curve in the road felt like a fresh adventure. The camaraderie among us made the experience even more special!

Khaste vs. Samosa: A Delicious Dilemma Worth Every Bite

Choosing between Khaste and Samosa always puts me in a delicious dilemma. On one hand, there’s the crisp, golden shell and savoury dry dal filling of the Khaste; on the other, the irresistible hard shell hiding a spicy surprise within the Samosa.I love the Khaste when you create a hole in the middle and fill it with dry aloo, slathered in both green and red chutney—mandatory, of course! Eating it is like picking up a donut; I swear it’s a flavour explosion! Meanwhile, crushing a Samosa with your right thumb while holding it in left hand and drenching it in chutney transforms it into a delicious masterpiece!Choosing between these two culinary delights feels like picking a favourite star in the sky—impossible! So, naturally, I end up indulging in both. To handle the spice and balance the flavours, I can’t forget my sweet saviour: Gujiya dipped in sugary syrup. My taste buds are flooding just thinking about it!There are so many great spots to satisfy your cravings, but if I had to choose one, it would be Janwadi in Kanpur (the Munna Samosa debate is always lively) and Jail Road in Delhi! Hyderabad definitely needs to step up its game to compete—no offence intended! And I'm curious to know if you have any other favourite spots. Do share your recommendations!

From Lazy Sunday to Bhutanese Bliss: My First Ema Datshi

Sundays at home can be quite an experience! My cook, Bishnu Bhaiya, takes the day off, and my house help, Gowri often pulls a mysterious disappearing act. This adds a dash of chaos to the day, but it also gives me the chance to step into the kitchen and make something delicious—a task I absolutely love. After all, you can never go wrong with the food you make yourself!Cooking for myself is always a joy, but I like to keep things simple. I avoid lengthy recipes that require hours in the kitchen when hunger is knocking and stomach growls are about to protest. Plus, I feel that a long cooking process, kill your appetite! Throughout the week, I save food reels that catch my eye, focusing on three essential criteria: the dish must look irresistible, be quick to prepare, & use ingredients that are easy to find. One reel that captivated me featured Ema Datshi, a classic Bhutanese dish said to be Deepika Padukone's favourite and Bhutan's national dish. The idea of a cheesy curry was simply too tempting to resist! With just a few ingredients—green chillies, garlic, cheese, salt, pepper, and optional onion and bell pepper—I prepared this delightful dish. You can also add zucchini or tomatoes for an extra twist. Serve it with your choice of rice, and you’ll experience creamy, cheesy goodness with a spicy kick—absolutely magical and mouthwatering! In just fifteen minutes, I had a plateful of bliss. If you ever feel lazy or in charge of Sunday cooking, this recipe is a must-try! There are plenty of reels out there, or you can message/call me for the details. Until my next kitchen masterpiece, happy cooking! Please note - Namak Swada-Anusaar and Chilli Shamta-Anusaar

Rubal was my senior at Lowe Lintas, and is the most hardworking person I have worked with.

I really admire him for his dedication to his work and his willingness to go above and beyond what’s needed to make sure that we always deliver the best possible work to clients, under extremely tight deadlines. He is great at building strong professional relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders and in the time I worked with him, I saw him juggle multiple campaigns, manage conflicts, keep his clients happy and align the often different perspectives of our cross functional team with ease.

I’m grateful to him for taking me under his wing and being a wonderful mentor to me during my time at Lintas - he taught me the nitty-gritties of advertising and the soft skills needed to be successful in my role, and always went out of his way to offer support and help me become a better brand manager.

Rubal is an excellent manager and an even better team player, wishing him all the best for his future endeavours!

I've had the opportunity to work with Rubal Saluja across two different companies: Gleneagles Hospitals and now at Digilitics Consulting Services. At Gleneagles Hospitals, Rubal wasn't just my manager for two years; he was a true mentor. Under his leadership, I experienced significant professional growth. He consistently encouraged me to take on challenging projects, pushing me beyond my comfort zone. The valuable feedback he provided wasn't just about the task at hand; it helped me develop skills that extended beyond my specific role.

The transition to Digilitics Consulting Services has been remarkably smooth. His ability to constantly innovate makes him an amazing leader. Beyond his strategic vision, Rubal fosters a truly open and collaborative atmosphere at Digilitics. He actively encourages open communication and innovative ideas from the entire team, creating a dynamic and engaging work environment. He's a rare leader who combines mentorship with strategic vision, creating a fantastic environment for professional growth.

I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue working with Rubal and learning from his expertise.
